This book leaves you reeling. Stunned by its magnificent prose as much as by the proximity of singular humour alongside brutal tragedy, you can only start again from the beginning when you reach the end.
The only downside is a galopping narrator who is too fast for the reader to truly savour the beautiful writing.
A masterpiece of fiction embedded in historical facts. Truly remarkable!
