This one gave me goosebumps from head to toe more than once and had me on the edge of my seat more often than not.

I loved the tone, the style, and the setting so very much. being about women's rights and witches as well as loyalties and betrayal and always looking for a way forward, no matter what happened, this had me enthralled all the way through! One of my favourite books I've ever listened to!

The book is beautifully written, it's very diverse in its representation and it's very engaging. The narrators voice is lovely and she is very well spoken. Loved it!!

wonderfully told story ,which can be easily transitioned into today's situation . Dark fairytale's and female empowerment a story full of friendship and bonds. changing doesn't come easy ,and sometimes causes huge suffering first. I loved the Ending . loved the Audiobook

I'm not sure what just happened... I listened to the entire story over the course of just two days. I love this style of writing and the gloomy atmosphere that just pulls you in. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend!!!

Historische Feminismusbewegung plus Hexerei plus Familiendrama. Was kann man an der Kombination nicht mögen. Die Sprecherin ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Alles in allem ein Genuss.

This book is very different from what I expected--but in a good way. It has the depth of myth and folklore, amazing characters, she a powerful, passionate story, all told in beautiful language by an amazing narrator.

It's a much angrier story than I anticipated, and one I won't soon forget.

Der Erzählstil ist im ersten Moment etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und zu Beginn viel es mir schwer mich in die Geschichte hineinzufinden, aber als ich erst einmal die ersten 1-2 Stunden gehört habe, hat es mir immer besser gefallen.
Man wird in die Geschichte hineingeworfen und erst mal versteht man nicht genau, worum es genau geht, es gibt immer wieder Rückblicke in die Kindheit der drei Protagonistinnen. Zwischendurch werden häufig bekannte aber abgewandelte Märchen erzählt und zu Beginn jedes Kapitels gibt es eine Anleitung zu einer Hexenkunst, die im darauffolgenden Kapitel eine Rolle spielt. Wenn man sich mal daran gewöhnt hat, ist diese Erzählweise toll, weil kleine Details im Fokus stehen, anstatt unterzugehen. Manchmal erwischt man sich sogar dabei zu überlegen, ob man selbst alle relevanten Gegenstände auftreiben könnte.
Am Ende hat mich die Geschichte gepackt und ich bin traurig, dass sie schon vorbei ist.
Also Durchhalten, es lohnt sich!
