A new case won't solve Parker's old problems....

Parker Ferro needs a vacation. His boyfriend is MIA on a high profile murder investigation, the fae courts have him on call at all hours, and he’s still cleaning up the mess from his last big case. Of course, that’s nothing compared to the demands of the debt he owes the spirit of San Amaro.

So, when a wealthy new client contacts him to locate a stolen fae artifact, Parker’s hoping for a simple job. That the artifact in question looks eerily similar to the one that got him involved with a notorious criminal and almost ruined his life last year - well, that has no bearing on the decision....right? Not to mention the thief’s ability to enter high security areas without a trace and a few very suspicious deaths.

As his life continues to spiral out of control, Parker has to juggle what’s most important to him: his relationship, his need for revenge, or his life. Then again, no one said becoming the new Windrose would be easy.

love love love it. 6 stats, because it's that good a story, that good a narrator, and that good an listening experience.

I really enjoyed this book. It had loveable characters, an engaging plot and also a good amount of humor to balance things out. I love this series and can’t wait for the next title to come out as an audio book!

Full of action and humor

The story itself was cool - Parker struggling with his new role as Windrose, and Nick trying to balance his work, his boyfriend and his insecurities about his family made for lovely character conflicts and -development. I also liked the mystery surrounding the tiara and the spirit of San Amano.
This audiobook has it all: suspense, magic, a good plot and interesting new characters. Of the new additions, I like Sugar best, because she's juuust a little silly. And, of course, Not-a-cat. I'm looking forward to the next installment!

Of course, the narrator does a wonderful job once more, too!

Auch der zweite Teil der Reihe hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Der Sprecher liefert aus meiner Sicht einen sehr guten Job ab, ich schätze seine Stimme sehr. Der Inhalt ist weiterhin interessant und spannend. Einziger Minuspunkt ist in meinen Augen die fehlende Dramatik was die Beziehung zwischen den Hauptcharakteren angeht. Diese wirkt auf mich eher nebensächlich und unaufregend (gewöhnlich), das finde ich etwas schade..
