This book made me want to visit Iceland even more than I already did before.
The descriptions of the landscape and weather are lovely and detailed.

You also grow very fond of all the quirky characters and their shared wholesome moments.
The building relationship(s) and their intimate moments are also nicely written.

It surely was a “page turner” for me. The story had just the right amount of drama, too. Not overly torturously suspense-packed but keeping you hooked all the same.
There were also very funny moments along the way. I laughed out loud when the sheep bobbed about in the whirlpool.

Only the ending felt a bit off to me but that might be a question of taste…

Spending so much time at that lovely lodge, I didn’t enjoy the change of location which felt abrupt and slightly halfhearted.

Lovely, romantic story with a few unexpected twists and seated in wonderful locations on Iceland. It was a pleasure to listen to it, the reader is really good.

Nach dem enttäuschenden dritten Band der Reihe entführt die Autorin ihr Publikum mit Hilfe der klugen, fleißigen und vom Schicksal gebeutelten Protagonistin Lucy in den Norden Europas. Wir lernen etwas über die isländische Natur und Kultur als auch über die Leitung eines kleinen Hotels irgendwo im Nirgendwo. Bedauernswert nur, dass Lucy im Rahmen der Erzählung keine rechtlichen Schritte gegen jene unternimmt, von denen sie diffamiert wurde. Die Komponente der Gerechtigkeit fehlte mir etwas beim Happy End.

Für oder gegen Fernweh – beides!
