Such a beautiful story! I always have been and always will be a fan of Schwab’s writing. The only thing that bothered me was the constant upward intonation that the narrator had…made it feel a bit like every sentence was a question and sometimes was hard to differentiate between inner thoughts, dialogue and description.

I love the book and all the books of V.E. Schwab, I have been reading many of them and also listen to many of her audiobooks. But this book, I am so disappointed of the woman that reads it. She stops at every sentence and has no emotion in hear voice and no acting skills at all🙈.

Love the story but the reader is terrible

I'm really sorry about this, because i usually like most authors and narrators, but the intonation of the narrator is so bad that it makes it almost impossible for one to understand what's happening in the story. it's almost impossible to get hooked with her making a stop in the middle of each sentence and going high every time. it was painful to go through the book. Again, I'm sorry, because i think the story is actually good. but this recording is simply not.

You can just tell, that it is an early work.
