This author shows us how people - especially women - lived, suffered, resisted, tried again, loved their families and build their life when the world was collapsing.

Ich wünschte, die Geschichte wäre nicht zu Ende. Am liebsten möchte ich gleich nach Vietnam reisen und all die Köstlichkeiten probieren, die während des Buches zubereitet wurde. Auch hat mich der historische Hintergrund sehr fasziniert. Die Sprecherin ist toll. Das Englisch gut zu verstehen. Ganz klare Empfehlung.
