Über diesen Titel

Long ago, following a cataclysm called the Rupture, the world was shattered into many floating celestial islands, now known as arks. Over each, the spirit of an omnipotent and immortal ancestor abides. The inhabitants of these arks each possess a unique power. Ophelia, with her ability to read the pasts of objects, must navigate this complex world using her trademark tenacity and quiet strength.

With its unforgettable heroine, rich and bountiful universe, and intrigue and suspense, Christelle Dabos's highly acclaimed The Mirror Visitor Quartet is perfect for fans of Margaret Rogerson’s An Enchantment of Ravens, Melissa Albert’s The Hazel Wood, V.E. Schwab’s Shades of Magic series, Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone, Kenneth Oppel’s Airborne series, and N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth series.

This omnibus edition includes all four books:

  • Book One: A Winter's Promise
  • Book Two: The Missing of Clairdelune
  • Book Three: The Memory of Babel
  • Book Four: The Storm of Echoes

Es fiel mir anfangs schwer, mich an die Sprecherin zu gewöhnen, jedoch ist die Story derart spannend, dass ich dran geblieben bin. Das hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Sehr spannend, tolle Charaktere.

mega spannend

Ophelia ( Ophélie) is not a very obvious heroine, what makes her all the more remarkable. She is a beautiful example of how a strong character can be deeply flawed , yet strong and purposeful. The same goes for Thorn ( who’s name can be mentioned in one breath as Heathcliff or Mr Rochester ).I loved the first subtile bild of their relationship, and all the longing afterwards.

The World building of Dabos can be sometimes a bit overwhelming, but it is well worth the ride if one gives in. It certainly is a darker ambiance then expected, but not without its glitter and comfort.

If you decide to listen to the whole quartet, be prepared to get on a sometimes confusing, very emotional, but alleyways unpredictable ride with character you will fall deeply in love with. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

It killed me with a smile
