...seems rather simplistic and bare-boned if you have seen both seasons (so far) of the more elaborate TV series. Nonetheless one must admire Dick for his Imagination.

This well-delivered original story

The worst thing I came across from P. K. Dick. I like his ideas, and this fiction of an alternative history and its terrifying outcome is very smart. But it's not a narration we have here, but more a clutter of boring characters, lacking a decent plot.
And the reader does a lousy job: His fake accents are awquard, and when he tries to speak German, it is twisting my guts, because his pronounciation is so poor, you hardly can understand what he says. This voice ruins everything what at least could be an atmospheric dystopia, a dark world building, which is the strength of this author.

Amazing parallel reality science fiction story. Very well structured and delivered. Building up and coming together of the different story streams could benefit in a modern setting we live in.

Full suspense thriller for thinkers

Ich mir nach den überwiegend positiven Bewertungen ein spannendes Buch in einer Parallelwelt erhofft. Stattdessen bekommt man eine pseudophilosophische Abhandlung fernöstlichen Einschlags.
Weder der Stil noch die langsame fast langatmige Erzählweise haben mich überzeugt. Schade, hätte mir etwas anderes erhofft.

I apologize to the author and speaker, but I found this work to be a waste of an interesting premise. The barely one dimensional characters were not at all helped by bad foreign accents. The different plot lines were only circumstantially related and neither interesting nor provacative. Not recommended.
