In this fascinating short story by Edmund Hamilton narrated as an audiobook by Mike Vendetti, such machines exist, one in the hands of the nefarious inventor and the other in the hands of a biologist and the police. The inventor intends to sell the effects of this machine for a lot of money. Sound familiar? To draw attention to his invention the inventor randomly turns it loose in downtown New York City causing a panic. Some people age exponentially, and even die of old age, while others are returned to their youth. The story ends with a duel between the good guy and the bad guy using the machine...
