But before Jason can say “presto change-o”, the owner of the art collection turns up murdered in a national forest.
When the dead man is revealed to be the Kubla Khanjurer, a much-hated, part-time magician accused of revealing the highly guarded secrets of professional illusionists, it seems clear this is a simple revenge killing - until Jason realizes an earlier suspicious death at the trendy, magic club Top Hat White Rabbit might be part of the same larger and more sinister pattern.

The crime story itself wasn't too interesting, you could pretty much tell who the killer was after the first couple hours. Still, it was well thought-out and I enjoyed listening to this story.

However, Sam does make me feel sorry. I can identify with him much more and I often don't understand why Jason keeps bitching. Sam loves Jason deeply in his own ways and he shows it all the time, so why tf not finally accept it, Jason? Probably love makes many things possible, but I would have probably ended it with Jason regarding my mental health.
On the other side, maybe it would be a bit boring, if there'd be a long-time couple and no problems that keep the private plot going, wouldn't it?
