This is the tale of The Mad King. Well, obviously it's in the title, I mean, you wouldn't pick up this audiobook and think it was about a democratically elected Oompa Loompa.

But this is a tale with a twist. Unlike what you would hear in other fantasy series, where there's a despotic madman in need of overthrowing where the story follows a group of plucky underdogs, this is a tale focusing on said aforementioned despot as he goes about his business with the express intent of getting a group of plucky rebels to overthrow him.

Because what's worse than absolute power? Absolute responsibility.

The concept of the story is great, but is lacking in some respects. Often the author both "shows" what is meant through body language and then tells you anyway. The End to the story, again, is a great concept, but is disappointing in execution.

Could have been longer. I would have enjoyed hearing more of the "mad kings" antics and how they backfired, which where the best parts in my opinion.

Story has some funny Moments
