I like the idea of the long earth, but in this book the Author (was Terry really involved? I’m skeptical) tried to find new stories but left the logic at home. Two people decide to fly to Mars, they don’t like the experienced pilot so they take a random grandpa instead. No worries since the designers of the mission have zero interest in what will happen to it anyway. Steppers somehow can be hunted since for an unexplained reason the hunter will know where the pray stepped to. Some alien Barbarian with a sack full of air manages to hunt two flying gliders that step in high altitude. This is the first book with the great Pratchetts name on the cover I’m disappointed of.
