What a phenomenal long ride. What gory, bloody, horrific battles. The best grim dark epic fantasy book I've ever read.

I listened to the first 2 books because they were free. I was well and truly hooked after book one of the trilogy. The final book exceeded my expectations. It follows the standard high fantasy model, but without ever becoming predictable. The characters were believable and always good for a surprise. I loved the audio performance very much. He really makes the figures come alive and he has impressive repertoire of different voices for the various characters. I highly recommend this trilogy!
