I don't know how you went along and I feel embarassed to say it, but I also had to giggle a lot, when the speaker towards the second part let Justin or Rave have their dialogues.
Of course, it was a tragic ending, but at least not for all of them.
Great story, too. Perhaps a bit too long, but then again it's nice to watch how Tana French works with carefully chosen words to let everything fall into place.
One thing I though might object: Cassie could have prevented the tragedy, if she had pulled out earlier. Towards the end I wanted to shout at her: "What the hell are you doing? Leave them alone!"

This is one of the best audio books I have ever listened to. The speaker is great and Tana French's story is intriguing and well written. Listen to "In the Woods" first, this is the sequel.

Even for me as a german it was good to follow up. The femal voice is deeper and not nervescratchy at all. Like it a lot and she did a good job in making up the different persons. Even the different slangs were recognisable but understandable.

The story caches up at the first case, but there is no need to know it. They pick you up, tell you a bit about the ald case so you know where the persons are.

The hole story is about relationship between humans. very intresting deep in the charakters an very good in the developments of the story, descriptions of the situations.


I like it a lot. To keep your english or freh it up it's perfect. If you like crime the better it is :-)

Again a very nice novel from Tana French. Well written and fast moving. Sometimes a bit farfetched, but still possible and with an internal logic. French always has a series of different characters that influence each other; not the usual detective story. Best of all, the book leaves images behind in your memory.

More then a police story!

I watched the Dublin Murders series and since I used to live in Co. Dublin for over 2 decades I was really looking forward to listening to this audio. The Story and the reader were OK. But it was just too long winding. After 3 hours I was so bored, I gave up. Pitty.
