The author manages to let all the characters shed light on their unique biography in a way that tells you the author has more than just a faint idea of psychology and reading people.
The reader/ listener gets the literal full picture of what has been going on and is going on.
You find yourself automatically dislike some people and start having your own thoughts about whether the victim died because he deserved it...
The police don't act too clever, they jump to conclusions and lack greater ideas, but they still become some sort of heroes when you find out more about their personal lives.
The author takes her time to tell side stories and they are worth every minute.
The narrator couldn't be better. Absolute thumbs up!
All in all a very good book that might be the start of a very interesting series.
