A wonderful sequel to the first book! Filled with conflict, desperate love and betrayal, and exciting action scenes, Chain of Iron had me gripped for the nearly 24 hours of brilliant narration by Finty Williams, who did an excellent job of bringing this story to life.

Honestly, I would summarize this book as the following: 20% average plot & 80% unnecessary and repetitive angst that is fueled by constant misunderstandings. I don't even understand why the characters love each other as much as they claim; the author spends an eternity describing their love toward each other, yet (to me) the relationships feel extremly forced. I also don't appreciate how the voice actress adapted an almost hysterical, screeching, childish voice whenever a female character (that wasn't Ana Blackthorn) was talking, but spoke normal when a male character was speaking.
