Über diesen Titel

The Kiss Quotient: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old. It doesn't help that she has Asperger's and that French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. She decides that she needs lots of practice - with a professional - which is why she hires escort Michael Phan.

The Vietnamese-Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and he agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan - from foreplay to more-than-missionary position... Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses but also to crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges convinces Stella that love is the best kind of logic.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

I'm not quite sure how to rate this. The story is not the problem, the narrator is not the problem. It's that awful music.
"Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute"
.... Well yeah no. The music is just odd. I think it's a tad too loud to blend into the only-background-noise category and i quite found it distracting from the narration. In some instances it just sounded like cheap sex-hotline music while the narrator was trying to read the "sensual" scenes.

I'm currently only at the beginning of the book and already surprised how many stereotypes fit into such a small time frame. Generally the story doesn't seem too bad though. 🤔
I'm honestly debating whether i can endure the rest of the book with that weird music on top of it... Tbh, the transitions when one song replaces the other are my favorite moments so far - because they're quiet. 😅

Music not for everybody
