simply too long. I could have gladly lived without the endless chat or twitter communication. Thank goodness I listened to the audiobook and wasn't forced to read all that. Maybe an editor could have helped there. Narrator was excellent as always. Kudos to him, that must have been a challenge this time! MILD SPOILER

Also regarding personal developments I am not a friend of neverending stories and this situation developed in this book in one. The way it was handled made no sense to me regarding two adult mature people. Unnecessary drama was created, that could have been solved with an open talk in 5 mins.Of all the books in this series, this one was still a good book but not as good as the other ones. Especially as the conclusion in the end was somewhat out of the blue and quite far fetched.

Das Buch hat mich richtig in seinen Bann gezogen. Ich dachte, das wird das beste Buch, das ich je gehört/gelesen habe. Vielleicht gerade weil es mich so gefesselt hat, habe ich mir viele Gedanken über den Inhalt gemacht und dann werden einem leider einige Lücken bewusst. Daher leider nicht das beste Buch aller Zeiten, aber trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung!

Sehr gute Story! In Teilen etwas langatmig. Wie immer brillanter Sprecher der English Version. Alle Dialekte perfekt.

Endlich wieder ein Strike Krimi

I have enjoyed all the Strike novels so far, especially for the writing style even though the material is dark.. And this one did not disappoint story wise either. I've listened to half of the books and read half of them, but I really I wish I had got this one as a readable version. The endless in game chats and tweet threads were really not audiobook friendly as the narrator reads them deadpan without inflection/accent etc. (which I do understand had to be so as many of the online characters were anonymous and the chats don't come with emotions). But it would have been a lot easier to get through if I could have skimmed past those parts.
