Wie alle Bücher aus der Reihe ist auch dieses sehr gut und von Robert Glenister wunderbar gelesen! Das Ende kommt etwas zu unvermutet und plötzlich, da hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass die Geschichte noch etwas ausführlicher erzählt wird.

Das Buch hat mich richtig in seinen Bann gezogen. Ich dachte, das wird das beste Buch, das ich je gehört/gelesen habe. Vielleicht gerade weil es mich so gefesselt hat, habe ich mir viele Gedanken über den Inhalt gemacht und dann werden einem leider einige Lücken bewusst. Daher leider nicht das beste Buch aller Zeiten, aber trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung!

Selten so mitgefiebert

Die Geschichte ist natürlich unfassbar fesselnd und bildlich geschrieben…man bekommt genau das, was man erwartet, wenn man die Romane seit Beginn verfolgt…davon abgesehen, dass die langen Chat- Dialoge etwas anstrengend anzuhören sind, wirken einige Passagen mehr wie ein Versuch der Autorin, die Kritik, die sie für Twitter- Beiträge und ihr letztes Buch erhalten hat, zu kontern. Schade- ein ehrliches Statement hätte es auch getan- dennoch gute Unterhaltung (persönlich hätte ich mir in diesem Part endlich ein (mehr als überfälliges) happy- end für die Protagonisten gewünscht, so ist es einfach ein fieser Cliffhanger für den Leser- der so oder so zu den Romanen zurück gekehrt wäre, um zu lesen, wie die Geschichte weiter geht…alles in allem unterhaltsam, fesselnd…aber eben mit nicht nur einem bitteren Beigeschmack…

So so good, I can't believe I'll have to wait another 2+ years now for the next book.
In this part, Robin and Strike dive into the world of online hate and fake reality, which I think couldn't be a more relevant topic these days. Yes, there's a couple of chat histories in the book that are a bit tough to listen to and follow up on, but I got used to it and would gladly listen to another 32 hours of Robin and Strike. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks over the years, and again and again I am blown away by Robert Glenisters performance - it is such a pleasure to listen to his various voices and dialects and all, he's the actual reason I bought the audiobook and not the paperback.
As for Robin and Strike: I am a big sucker for their side story, so I am one of those people happiest that the side story is more detailed in the recent parts than in the first couple of books :)

Post-book depression hits hard after this one!

Might be the best Strike novel for me so far!

Ich liebe die Strike Buchserie und wurde auch dieses Mal nicht enttäuscht. Ein spannender Fall, der gegen Ende fast schon gruselig wurde und ein tolles Duo. An einigen Stellen im Buch musste ich laut auflachen... bin fast schon traurig, dass es zu Ende ist. Konnte oft einfach nicht aufhören und lauschte ganze Stunden am Stück. Freue mich auf den 7. Band und das Knistern zwischen Robin und Strike. 10/10!

sind die vielen Chats für das Hörbuch Publikum. Wie immer ist der Plot verwirrend und überraschend gestrickt und das Milieu hochinteressant. Sehr unterhaltsam und ein Muss für Fans von Robin und Corm!

It’s a very interesting story and it points the finger at the ugly side of social media.
That being said I got to be honest, if I had to read it, I probably wouldn’t make it through. It’s soooo long and there are some parts that are, sorry, just boring.
Hope the next one is a bit shorter.
