The story is supposed to be a romance, except it is toxic from beginning to end. Male love interest keeps calling the (admittedly very childish and bratty) female protagonist "my child" again and again, also treats her as such, while he is obviously grooming her. He is verbally abusive with the constant threat of violence towards her, until we get full blown S.A. that is supposed to be romantic. She gets so confused that she basically apologizes for all the abuse thrown at her while stockhom-syndroming for the abuser.
I can't even with this drivel.
I recommend to not even touch this with a barge-pole. Not to mention that the entire story is very trite and boring.

The reader is the only good thing about the entire book.

I think this autor has some history with child-abuse. There was another story, I think called "dangerous games", where the behavior of a abused child was described really detailed so that I had to stop to listen because it was so disgusting. And also in this story the male part is calling the female part always "child" and she acts also really childish while he acts like a father. This is no healthy relationship, this is really toxic. The speaker ist good.
