Enjoyable hours
I found this series because I like Tim Gerard Reynolds as a narrator. I love fantasy and don't mind RPG, so I started the adventure. The start (book 1) was a bit slow at times, but I liked it overall. Reynolds is really good at giving the characters personality, and the story slowly gets more interesting. I'm not used to RPG-books, and the detailed descriptions of spells and perks were a bit confusing, but they were cleverly woven into the narrative. In fact, I ended up enjoying this aspect quite a lot.
I didn't enjoy the story in the 2nd book as much, but books 3 and 4 made up for it. I often wished I could be a part of the book's world. Now, I'm really looking forward to book 5.
One thing to note: The protagonist's powers progress at a rapid pace compared to others whose development spans a lifetime. I didn't mind this pace, and I understand that the story wouldn't be as interesting otherwise. But, some people might not like that.

Fun concept, british performer, meh execution
Are you the kind of person who feels like the fight scenes in Dragonball were kinda short? Then this is for you!
Other wise you might get lost or feel like all the tension has drained away after people hold looong conversations or a fight takes another turn because reinforcements arrive for the losing side

A solid litrpg

Listen to a DnD podcast instead
I keep having to rewind because I'm so bored that I miss things, daydreaming.
I imagine some folks would love the concept of a DnD world Fantasy book and maybe I would too if the characters were at all compelling.
I'm a fan of Tim Gerard Reynolds though. Always a solid performance from him.

Good concept but with pacing issues
The worldbuilding is pretty good amd has some interesting ideas. But it lost me somewhere in the middle. The hole time in the dungeon so too long.

meh, enttäuschend.
Gute Idee, doch der Autor hat es selbst versaut mit solch einem nervigen MC und ein paar anderen Dingen.
1. Sinnlose Kommentare die den MC nervig machen
2. Warum hat der MC nicht mehr Drive?
3. Warum wird immer wieder der gleiche Mist bewundert?
4. Kämpfe wirken öde und Dungeon zieeeeeht sich
5. Nicht der richtige Sprecher
6. Teilweise 4 Minuten Erklärung wie sich ein Zauber aufbaut
