Es erinnert ein wenig an 'Palast der Winde ' von M.M. Kay. Wobei diese Geschichte nicht in Indien spielt und auch keinerlei geschichtliche Basis hat. Die Ähnlichkeit ist vielmehr in der Erzählweise und in der Zeitspanne über die sich die Geschichte spannt. Die Charaktere, die einem während des Hörens ans Herz wachsen. Es hat was episches.
Eine riesige Rolle beim Schaffen dieses Hörgenusses hat Rob Shapiro. Er liest einfach perfekt. Tolle Stimme, die Personen die gerade sprechen sind sehr gut zu unterscheiden und er liest gefühlvoll ohne zu übertreiben.
