Great audiobook! Excellent narration!
First things first: the narrator is stellar. The voices he makes are amazing. It's very easy to understand and follow. Real good.
The story is a bit in the young-adult vibe. The plot is nice, with mostly predictable outcomes, and not too crazy twists. This makes it easy to follow while you're doing other chores, and only have half your brain to listen.
Actually I didn't like reading this book precisely for the condescending tone and gentle writing style, but it really fits amazingly as an audiobook.
Highly recommended.

Insgesamt gut.
Vor allem am Ende zu viele unwahrscheinliche Rettungen.

Epic
I am quite new to the Brandon Sanderson Fanbase, this being the second book of his I have read and I am fully hooked! Interesting characters, intriguing plot and endless possibilities.

Interesting twist of the plot - awesome!
The world has been designed with love for detail and much creativity. The plot is very refreshing and has a nice unexpected twist.
Michael Kramer is a fantastic match as reader and gives each character a special personality and a different voice.
I enjoyed this book a lot!

very captivating story
the story developped in a allover thought through manner. The characters seem like real people. Only the relationship between Vin and Alant grew a bit too quickly. ... I liked it very much!

that was so good. it fulfilled both of my femal power fantasys of dating a high noble on a ball and at same time beeing able to figh like a boss with magic and dagger's 10/10 !

Amazing and gripping story
Lovable characters and the magic system is really interesting and I found myself immersed in this red sun and ashes filled country. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story develops.

Captivating and entertaining
Somehow, this story feels new although it employs a couple of well-known tropes. The characters are interesting and “round”, nobody is simply good or evil. The narrator does an excellent job as always. It sets up an interesting world where much can be explored in the future.

Great story, mediocre narration
I absolutely loved the story but very often found myself distracted by the narration. I'm not sure why the narrator chose to make the female lead's voice sound wimpy and whiny in parts where I'm sure there should be confidence, humour and sass. And also the supposedly Scottish accent of one of the characters was incredibly distracting. Overall well-read and I still recommend it because the story itself is brilliant.
