As an avid reader/ listener of ice queen romance I say this is a top notch story and definitely something else. Usually the ice queen is older and in power compared to her love interest. But here, lovely, sweet Ashley is the supervisor and cold, aloof Nadia is doing her fellowship training. This makes for an incredible and unique dynamic. So if you are into ice queens and opposite attract romance and are looking for a break from usual routines - this story is for you!
Bonus: This was also the best approach to questioning and later bloomer issues I've read.

A fascinating Story and a wonderful narration,..that's all it takes. It's a 5-star read/listen.
Faith Prize and Abby Craden did both a great job!

Captivating

The storyline is a futuristic Grey's Anatomy but entertaining enough. As always well enacted and read from A. Craden. It is an easy listen to and as I normally read a lot of crime, this is the cute opposite.

The end was a little much for my taste but other than that good entertainment. And as usual: Abby Craden is brilliant!

A very good story, loved listening to it. Slow enough to follow for a non-native listener. Giving each person its own sound of voice helped immensly for following the story.

Habe Kindle und Hörbuch. Hörbuch-Sprecherin Abby Craden wie immer 5 Sterne, aber das Buch ist leider nicht gut, daher fällt auch das Hörbuch durch. Die Storyline ist eintönig, flach. Ashley traut sich nichts zu, wird von Nadia klein gemacht. Wie Ashley mit so einer Personalie Chief werden konnte, ist unglaubwürdig. Charaktere haben keine Tiefe und entwickeln sich nicht weiter. Das Buch wird zum Ende hin immer schlechter. Wäre besser gewesen, wenn ein anderer Medizinpreis ausgewählt worden wäre oder ein fiktiver.

Spoileralarm
Auch wie die Familienentwicklung zustande kommt, macht Nadia nur noch unsympathischer. Egoistin, nur auf sich fokusiert. Interessiert sich nicht für das, was Ashley will. Und die ordnet sich nur unter. Nein danke. Dem letzten Kapitel mangelt es an Sinn, will nicht zu viel preisgeben, daher sehr vage bleibend.

Verstehe nicht, wie man 5 Sterne geben kann. Buch nicht zu empfehlen, daher leider Hörbuch auch keine Empfehlung. Schade um Abby Craden.

Abby Craden super, Story schwächelt immens

To be honest I really didn’t like Nadia. She is so direct and sort of disrespectful too. That didn’t really change throughout the book leaving her with not a lot of character development. The romance is kind of sweet (pretty spicy). However I did cringe multiple times.
Overall I’d say it’s an okay book to check out but it’s by far not my favorite.
