half a billion dead later we settle on various Protagonist some to stay, some to ....move on.
The Story ist fun, once you agree to exercise through a "what If" scenario.
Its only a bit disappointing that we geht another "what goes on in America" Story. We have read that. We have nearly exclusively read only about that. And watched it ad nauseam. So thats a bit of a boring Arc.
The characters are fun, although not as divers as possible, staying within the "tried and tested"range.
The narrator ist a bit tricky: there are passages where he really gets into it, and you absolutely have different people in your Minds eyes. And then there are passages, where I was convinced it was an AI Reading because of misplaced pauses and absolut lack of spirit.
Gives it a go if you look for Cthuluh fun, perhaps skip it If you look for a really inventive story, setting or characters.
