Die Stimme klingt so monoton. Die Betonung ist Wort für Wort furchtbar. Als ob der Sprecher jeden Satz gleich betont. Klingt nach einer AI Stimme. Einfach unzumutbar. Die story ist aber recht gut.

A bit short, not the huge univers the author usually builds. The narration is a bit short breathed, which I felt a bit exhausting. Stil a well paced story.

The story is interesting enough and well paced, giving an entertaining perspective on technology as a belief system. The narrator is terrible, delivering every sentence in a clipped, monotonous fashion.

The story is great. Narrator painful to listen to. If you can get over this you have some great science fiction to expect.

A story more current than ever

The book is interesting and proves again how the author can adapt his style to fit the story. The narrator, however, has a very repetitive intonation, which makes it difficult to listen to this audio book.

Top story, bad narrator

Shaun Grindell is the narrator who tries to sound like AI and fails miserably!
It's a great story, but to listen to him butchering it was painful!
Usually I can listen to audiobooks for hours, but more than one hour if this absolutely horrendous narration gave me a headache. Never before had I to split a 4 hour audiobook into four 1 hour listening clios.

The story itself is a classic dystopian sci-fi tale and very well written. I will read it and it's sequel when my headache is gone.

Remember the narrators name!

It takes a while until you understand where the book is going. The general story is sth old in a different wrapping. The narrator has Always the same Intonation, no matter what the content is. It sticks out very blatantly if the book is sped Up. hardly bearabl to Finish. since half way through the book you know how it will end.
