It's time for Trysten to pick up the pieces and move the village forward after the battle for Aerona. Since then, not a single Western dragon has been seen in the skies, and the fighting appears to be at a lull. But when Prince Aymon returns from the mother city with eighty dragons dressed for battle and plans to teach the Western kingdom a lesson, it appears that the fighting season is about to heat up again.
After Aymon invades the Western kingdom with his armada of dragons, Trysten races to unravel the mysteries of the fighting season with the hopes of bringing the war to an end before Aymon can rekindle it. With the help of new and rediscovered friends, Trysten uncovers the unbelievable reason the two kingdoms are at war. But knowing why they fight may not be enough to stop the destruction.
The fourth book in The Dragoneer series delves into the mystery surrounding this fantasy adventure. It features a strong, female hero and a compelling story appropriate for most ages.
