I found this book by chance, and the story seemed to be original (which is hard to find nowadays), so decided to give it a try. The Plot is cohesive, and the story flows nicely. The book is not that long, so it won't take much time to finish it.

Die eigentlich unlogische Idee, dass ermordete Personen (aber nur diese) automatisch wieder lebendig werden, wurde in den verschiedensten Auswirkungen auf das Verhalten der Menschen spannend und interessant umgesetzt. Dispatcher - ein neuer Beruf mit großer Verantwortung und einigen schwarzen und vielen grauen Schafen.

I sometimes enjoy shorter stories. This one is a mystery that feels almost like a Noir story in a kind of sci-fi setting.
If you enjoy shows like black mirror, this will propably entertain you as well

The narration by Zachary Quinto was fantastic.

As with any other Scalzi work, the story is engaging, packed with action and a world with intriguing differences, but also very human feelings. The performance is also outstanding.

I love scalzis dialogues, and again he doesn't disappoint. Due to shortness of story naturally some flaws, holes etc, but overall entertaining.

Würden Sie The Dispatcher noch mal anhören? Warum?

Zachary Quinto liest überragend. Er haucht den Charakteren Leben ein und macht es einem unmöglich, sich dem Bann der Geschichte zu entziehen. Einziges Manko: Die Geschichte ist zu kurz! Quinto formt Scalzis Protagonisten zu einem Freund, und die Prämisse der Geschichte gibt bestimmt noch eine Menge Stoff her. Ich will mehr!!!

Mr quinto did a very nice job at reading this smart story and I really enjoyed this audiobook.

Eine schöne Kurzgeschichte - und damit vermutlich ein Problem für Audible, denn 10 Euro hätte ich für zwei Stunden nicht bezahlt. Aber als Dauer-Abo-"Bonus" sehr willkommen und motivierend, das Abo laufen zu lassen.
