Bereits so ist der vierte Band der Dunklen Turm Saga der beste Teil der Reihe. Rolands Rückblende ist das brillianteste was ich je gelesen habe. Frank Muller schafft es das Erlebnis noch um eine Nuance zu erweitern. Er erweckt die Figuren zu leben, was zu einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre führt.

mein absolutes Lieblings-Buch aus der Dark Tower Reihe. berührend. mir einen tollen Sprecher, tolle Stimme, wenn auch eingeschränkt in seiner Bandbreite.

Der Sprecher war etwas übertrieben bei der Darstellung von den Charaktereren. Aber man konnte sich die Figuren gut vorstellen.

Roland Geschichte

Dieser Teil ist besonders spannend, weil man Einblick in die Vergangenheit von Roland erhält und zunehmend versteht, weshalb der Gunslinger ist wie er ist. Romantisch, spannend und fantastisch! ich freue mich bereits auf den nächsten Teil :).

Couldn't finish the book for 5 years, it seemed just too boring, but when the characters came alive with Muller's different voices I couldn't stop listening. It's slow to start and largely disconnected with the previous books as it is "just" Roland's backstory. But it picks up the pace near the end and although the book then makes clear where it's heading you want to hear it all and find out for yourself.
Just 4 stars for the story, because it seemed King only wrote Wizard and Glass, because he didn't know how to continue the Ka-Tet's journey. A thrilling tale nonetheless, but, honestly, I think you can skip it and not miss much of Roland, Eddie, Susannah, Jake and Oy's story.
