For a second book in an ongoing series, Nathan van Coops “The Chronothon” is not too bad, but there are some things that make it come short of five stars, particularly the nagging feeling that his time travel concept brings along some storytelling glitches. Why, for instance, does a body blow up in myriads of pieces when in contact with water, but the same does not occur with air... What brings the rating down to three stars is the horror chapter in the middle of the book -- I did not sign up for this. Also, Neil Hellegers still reads in a somewhat breathless manner, and most characters sound alike and a little as if they were from India. Overall, a solid experience, but nothing outstanding.
