Inhaltsangabe

Back in Pickax, Jim Qwilleran expects to resume a quiet life, but the people and animals of Pickax have other ideas. A noisy cardinal wakes him every morning. Nosy neighbors drop by uninvited, and the Siamese misbehave, even sneezing on guests. As if they weren't bad enough, Qwill's long-time companion acts as though she is in love, with another man.

But worst of all, Qwill finds a body in his apple orchard. When Qwill's friend becomes the chief suspect, he embarks on a crusade to clear Dennis Hough's name and win back Polly Duncan's heart. Even Koko sniffs out a few clues. But will their efforts be too little too late? Not even Koko knows for sure in the quirky, engaging romp through Moose County.

The Cat who...

This audio book was as charming as the other "The Cat who..." stories that I have read so far from the Liian Jackson Braun series. It continues in the same vein; cat lovers and mystery readers will surely enjoy it. The male speaker interpreted Qwill's and the cats' voices to perfection, and very affectionately so. I found that some of the female voices sounded a bit overstated for my taste. In short, you know what you get, no surprises here, and I wholeheartedly recommend this book for some easy listening.
