In this audio book you accompany the speaker and his odd friends - they name themselfes the Camel Club - on their mission to disclose a conspiracy. At first you may have your doubts about these friends - are they phantasizing? But the more the story develops the more you believe that they are right and you cannot help but admire their professionalism in revealing the truth.The speaker's language is easy to understand even for non native English speaker.I awarded 5 stars and each is well deserved.

Wer politisch angehauchte Thriller mag, wird seinen Spaß an diesem Hörbuch haben. Wer 9/11-Aftermath-Homeland Security-Verschwörungstheorien-Geschichten nicht mag, der ist mit den Vorgängern von Baldacci (Split Second, The hour Game (bitte zwingend in dieser Reihenfolge hören!) weitaus besser bedient.

So oder so sollte man sich durch die Verlagszusammenfassung nicht irritieren lassen, die bis in die Nennung der Namen der Hauptpersonen (Oliver Stone statt Harry Stone und der Secret Service Agent heißt Alex Ford) nur sehr unzureichend (um nicht zu sagen: grob fehlerhaft) beschreibt, worum es in diesem Buch geht.

I had read this a few years ago and had problems keeping the characters straight. After finishing the Decker series and the Maxwell - King series, I listened to "The Camel Club" this time. The story presents a terrifying scenario that kept me enthralled. But, I still had trouble keeping up with so many main characters. I'll continue to listen to the series because Baldacci is so good.

die ganze Zeit hofft man, dass das Buch noch die Kurve kriegt, es plätschert aber nur vor sich hin und versinkt in der Langatmigkeit, besser auf dieses Buch verzichten...
