Then we have Beck. This man is a breath of fresh air: a genuine, relatable NFL rookie who’s been quietly crushing on Jason from afar. He’s honest to a fault, wrapped in insecurities, inexperience, and anxiety that felt so real. His inner monologues were painfully relatable and wonderfully human. Beck’s character just worked for me.
And then there’s Jason—the cocky, more experienced, out-and-proud NFL star who seems to have been born with self-esteem, protectiveness, and undeniable charm. I loved the banter between him and Beck, and their quiet moments together were just as good. The spice? Very well done.
My only critique is the pacing. The story dragged a bit for me—10+ hours of audio felt long, and I think 8 hours would’ve been the sweet spot. But overall, this is a cute, engaging sports romance with two lovable MMCs you root for from the very beginning.
