After a lifetime spent in public relations, one-woman dynamo Agatha Raisin struggles to adapt to life in a quiet country village – but she soon finds that there is murder and mayhem aplenty to keep her busy.
Among the cases she has to deal with are a poisoned quiche; a vet who has been ‘put to sleep’; a hanged horticulturist; a murdered rambler and a curate who meets his Maker somewhat sooner than expected. Then there’s the treasure hunt with a rather nasty prize at the end; the secretive salon owner; the husband who is quite definitely ex; the murder on the dancefloor and the fairies at the bottom of the garden.

Hilarious and clever...
I have become an avid fan of all the Agatha Raisin books. I love the stories and I especially like Penelope Keith. This is the cherry topping on a cake. Nearly nine hours of dramatised bliss. Just lean back and enjoy.

Perfect
I love this BBC Dramatisation. The cast is just amazing. I would love more audio dramatisation like this one and more Agatha Raisin stories with the same cast. I allready heard it 4 times, laughed every time. Thanks to the audio dramatisation I watched the tv series....

Really good
Really enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of Agatha Raisin books, and read almost all of them. It was still new and refreshing to listen to this Radio play. Ah those accents and jokes! So funny! Recommend it to all who like mistery.
