when ferris said something along the lines of "as if posessed by a fury wich is funny if you know history" (cant remember the exact quote) that does imply this series and the furies of alera series being in the same world no?

Euan Morton's performance for this book makes my spine tingle. His range, from feminine-wile-y creepy af Cavendish to adorably gory Rowl, is just fantastic. I just bought two more audiobooks narrated by him, and although I'm sad that those aren't Cinder Spires 2 and 3, I'm excited to listen to them.
