Über diesen Titel

Donald Alexander Mackenzie (1873-1936) was a Scottish writer. Teutonic Myth and Legend (1912) is his retelling of the legends and myths of the Goths, Norsemen, Vandals, Burgundians, Franks, Angles, Saxons, and other Germanic tribes. Poems and prose passages from classic literature that are related to these myths are included.

So the reader has some odd pronunciations. For example she says the word "iron" like a German would. And there are recording mistakes. But in terms of the actual book, it's really something for the very dedicated history/saga/norse-interested audience. There are many names to keep track of and the stories are really somewhat, well, unusual for modern tastes. So it might be for you but it certainly wasn't for me. This audiobook is not compatible with doing house chores while listening, which is my ultimate standard for audiobooks :-)

Oonly for the dedicated saga buffs
