I really have to say, I like the protagonist a lot more than most of the other usual OP MCs out there. Very well written characters all in all, nice world building and entertaining, even funny sometimes.

but the take on the main character not being naive not stupid but also not good is refreshing. While constantly being a filthy life draining necromancer ;)

As I said I love this book, it's got a few parts I didn't like as much but the rest more than made up for it,
The only caveat is the narrator, I didn't like his voice, and it took me some time getting used to it.

Besides the usual flaws of an overpowered protagonist, the story line and characters are interesting and lovable. The author found more often than not ways to make the main character believable and took great care to incorporate the motives and philosophy of Sylver.

though the voice actor has a pleasant voice, he keeps a way to aggressive and over the top tone in everything like some kind of announcer. I am a big fan of character voices hover I do not like when voice actors try to apply racial traits to voices. especially when that makes the voices hard to understand.

I love this series, now in audio book format.

If you like LitRPGs with solid Characters, an really fascinating world, and fights and story in great detail, you will really like this.
The Voicetalent reading this book is not that great as he mostly sounds the same all the time, nonetheless it is enjoyable because of the story.

The Protagonist ist the best thing about the story, he is one of the very few protagonist who I can see reaching immortality without MC level luck. He is cunning, tenacious, has no qualms about cruelty, loyal to his few friends and on the path to regaining his quit considerable power.
The story has some weaknesses. It feels a little aimless and rather like a loosely connected series of events.
The narrator is easy to understand but lacks variety which makes it harder to follow the story. Still, I’ll be on the lookout for book 2.

A refreshing Protagonist

The ending was so bad that I feel like swearing. There were several better opportunities to end the book, yet the author chose to end it mid conversation!? I am of half a mind to stop here, but the lackluster finish aside, the story was quite decent. Still, goodness gracious what a way to mess up.
