I loved it!
The story is beautifully told and read. The unusual way the protagonists (have to) get to know each other, how they cope and learn about themselves was wonderful. It was immersive. I fell in love a little, too. And by one of the mysteries / revelations I felt a little traumatised as well.
I love to read books and to listen to books but it is not that often that I find one that feels gripping for me or conjures up the whole scenery. This one did for me.

Love blossoming in a hopeless place
I love Beth O’Leary’s incredible talent for telling stories that capture the complexity of life and love during/ after traumatic experiences and enjoy her work immensely. This book was no exception. Just beautiful. And the voice actors were lovely.

very intense and a must-hear
Great readers with perfekt voices for this intense story, as good as "the flatshare", my favorite romantic novel until today. I recommend listening to this wonderful book.

Absolutely wonderful :)
The unusual storyline is really engrossing and told in a believable way. The characters appear very real and the suspence is well timed. The narrators are amazing, giving the main characters life.
