Leonardo da Vinci created the two most famous paintings in history, The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa. But in his own mind, he was just as much a man of science and engineering. Inspiring, but a bit technical
I really enjoyed listening to most of the book, but towards the end it dragged on a little. I woulodn't have needed a recount of every single iphone launch...
I would have liked to hear a bit more about the why. Why did Steve Jobs treat his peers so badly at times? If he really practiced Zen Buddhism (did he, really?): why didn't he attain some "loving compassion"?
All in all a very honest approach and a jewel that inspires to reflect about the great achievers of our time and what drives them. Sobering also to see, what it seems to take to get to the very top of the food chain.
He truely was a creative genious - but you can't excel in all fields...

Alles in allem:

A great book in all its dimensions.
As I first read the reviews before I buy the book many wrote it was too long. After listening to the book myself I'd say it's just the perfect length! it drows a full picture of Jobs the person and the CEO in many different life aspects and I think the ones who are really interested in "knowing" Jobs would really appreciate that.
Walter Isaacson did a great job! the amount of work he put in this book is crazy! I appreciate all the littel details that kept the book alive and interesting and prevented it from beeing boring. He succeeded not showing Jobs as a God but embracing his greatness within all the dark spots of his character.
I actually liked Isaacson so much that already bought another book of his before even finishing this one.
Dylan Baker, the narrator of this book, is as good by narrating as Isaacson by writing.
So for me that was a "full experience" and I think Steve jobs would've liked it himself.
