I couldn't stand the narrator. Her voice screeches, and her cadence is horrible. She ends every sentence on a slow and low note and makes a dramatic pause while everything else is spoken very fast. I fiddelt with the equalizer and tempo, so I found it possible to hear the book.
Sadly, the story can't compensate what the narrator lacks. I was intrigued by the synopsis, but the story is predictable, and the characters lack depth. I couldn't sympathise with the heroine. She was immature on top. All in all, it was a cookie cutter book that I could forgive if it had better characters and a good voice.
