Sadly, the story can't compensate what the narrator lacks. I was intrigued by the synopsis, but the story is predictable, and the characters lack depth. I couldn't sympathise with the heroine. She was immature on top. All in all, it was a cookie cutter book that I could forgive if it had better characters and a good voice.
