Über diesen Titel

The New York Times best-selling series is coming to an epic conclusion—witness the beginning of the end!

Written by one of the original High Republic story architects and the #1 New York Times best-selling author of Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark, Star Wars: Lost Stars, and the upcoming original X-Files novel, Perihelion. This sci-fi mystery is, at its heart, about the importance of found families and overcoming great odds.

As several crises all hurtle toward their thrilling and shocking conclusions, fan-favorite Jedi Knights and Padawans must band together to save the galaxy from the Nihil, the Nameless, and perhaps worst of all, a mysterious blight that turns everything in its path to dust and is seemingly impossible to stop.

I have heard some people say this book is a bit forgettable and I couldn't disagree less. Claudia Gray hasn't writen any of my favorite High Reoublic books but I feel like she took some of the criticism fans had after The Fallen Star to heart. Into The Light was great!

I might be biased because one of my favorite little characters - Dez Rydan - made a Comeback, but what is not to love about this book? Wookiees, Kashyykk, Drengir and the dark side - a mixture that promises adventure and fun. Reath, Amadeo, Azlin and the return of the Vessel crew are the cherry on top of it.

The reasons I am subtracting a star is 1) I felt like the pacing was a bit off and 2) I don't like when authors kill characters, only to then say "whoops maybe they arent dead!". This is something that has happened a lot, especially in the aftermath of Starlights Fall. And 3) I didn't like the implications of the fate of one character who seems, for someone who is a war criminal and direct aid to Marchion, to get a very light sentencing, if even.

However I had a lot of fun with this story! I might even be my favorite High Republic book by Claudia. Highly recommend this. Now, I am onto Trials of the Jedi at last.
