Interesting take on a very known story. I loved the fact the girl was the main character. Interesting and well narrated,

An sich ist Stalking Jacke the Ripper flüssig geschrieben und ganz nett zum Hören nebenbei. Allerdings wusste man von der ersten Sekunde an, wer der Mörder ist. Sich dann ein ganzes Hörbuch anzuhören, wie die Protagonistin nicht drauf kommt, ist etwas langweilig, vor allem da die Hinweise auf den Mörder teils sehr plump sind. Und dass die Protagonistin auch noch ein "Pick-me-girl" ist, sorgt nicht gerade dafür, dass man sich zumindest an den Charakteren erfreuen könnte...

As someone who loved the Jack the Ripper Case this was an interesting take on the case, however there were a few things about the whole plot which i didn’t like too much. Liked Audrey and Thomas tho.

Es kursieren viele Geschichten um Jack the Ripper, ein Serienmörder, dessen Fall immer noch im Unklaren ist. Diese Geschichte entwirft ein neues Szenario, in dessen Mittelpunkt mal kein Mann, sondern eine junge Frau steht, die, im Gegensatz zu anderen Frauen ihrer Zeit, kein Interesse an Hausarbeit hat und von devotem Verhalten gegenüber Männern gar nichts wissen will, sondern statt dessen lieber mit ihrem Onkel im Labor an Leichen herumschnippelt. Währenddessen beginnt Jack seine Mordserie. Audrey Rose begibt sich auf Mörderjagd und in Gefahr. Die Geschichte ist kurzweilig, amüsant und spannend. Man kann eigentlich keine Pause (lesen oder hören) machen. Die Sprecherin des Hörbuchs ist gut gewählt.

So spannend, dass es mir zwischendurch wirklich schwer fiel, es nicht in einem Rutsch durchzuhören. Sehr schön geschrieben und vorgelesen. Außerdem ist es klasse mit der Geschichte Jack the Rippers verbunden. Empfehle ich sehr gerne weiter!

Holy moly this book was amazing. The writing style is so captivating. The storyline as well. Everyone seems suspicious from the beginning and only slowly people are being ruled out. I loved how Audrey rose is a combination of being pretty and fierce. Thomas got on my good side pretty fast. Her family and all the victims had such interesting backstories. The end was very well wrapped up, all questions answered.
I can’t wait to continue reading the next book.

Die Premisse klingt erstmal total interessant. Ich habe mich ehrlich auf die Geschichte gefreut.

Kann den ganzen positiven Rezensionen allerdings nicht zustimmen. Ich fand die Geschichte überhaupt nicht gruselig und die Protagonistin einfach so unglaublich nervig, dass ich stellenweise überhaupt nicht mehr wissen wollte wie es weiter geht, damit ich ihren Gedanken nicht mehr zuhören muss.

Typical "I'm not like other girls" behaviour.
NERVT

Sie ist so unglaublich altklug, überheblich und konträr. Vorallem völlig ohne Grund. Niemand schränkt sie ein und dennoch muss sie in gefühlt jedem 3. Satz betonen wie anders sie ist und wie sehr sie Korsetts hasst etc etc.

Bin erst in Kapitel 9 aber kann es jetzt schon nicht mehr hören.
