Spid has a whole day off.
No responsibilities. No jobs to do. Just endless possibilities.
After enjoying a big breakfast, he comes up with what seems like the perfect plan to make the most of his day.
Simple. Quick. Easy. What could possibly go wrong?
As so often happens for Spid, things don’t go quite as expected. Shortcuts turn into setbacks, and clever ideas aren’t always as clever as they seem. This story is perfect to help children think ahead and plan.
Why Parents & Teachers Love It
• Encourages planning and forward thinking
• Teaches that shortcuts can lead to bigger problems
• Builds resilience when things don’t go to plan
• Supports growth mindset conversations; that success comes from preparation not shortcuts.
Includes two original Spid songs, including the popular “We’re Having Fun” and “Wibble Wobble”. These songs bring the story to life and reinforce learning through rhythm, rhyme and repetition.
