Our wounds were self-inflicted. We created them without foresight. We erased ourselves and made pretensions reality. Now Snow falls.
This short story explores social drift created by technological advances and the personal and social implications of an individual presenting different personas to the digital and physical worlds. Kate Enrite lives in the near future where a person's influence score determines what society offers. These influence scores have pervaded social structures to the point that privacy has been outlawed as a hindrance to measurement. With nothing to gain from her true identity, Kate fights to secure what she perceives as a better life. In the process, she will discover how long a person can pretend to be someone they are not - until becoming the pretense.
Content Warning: Snow Falling contains scenes of drug abuse and violence not suitable for some audiences.
