After not having much luck recently with lit-rpg stories (had to give some back because I couldn't stand them), I binge-listened through that book in two days.

Being a guy it wasn't too easy to really sink into a story told by a female protagonist. But after a while I got used to it. She does not act dreamy about the hot guys (like the protagonist in 'Three Mages and a Margarita' which I gave back).

It is the first book of the series and it doesn't happen that much plot-wise. But I think the author does build-up for a bigger plot and I really enjoy a plot where the protagonist does not find herself in a seemingly hopeless situation every third page just to hold the reader on edge.

The protagonist seems overpowered. Don't get me wrong though, I really like her ability, I guess that's what really had gotten me hooked.
I think the author does a good job of not throwing that fact into the readers face nor lets her protagonist realize the full potential of such an ability.

To sum it up: if you like lit-rpg, you should give this one a try. I've just started the second one and soon the long wait for the third audiobook will begin...

Ich liebe den Main Char der Geschichte vor allem da sie eine der schwächsten Menschen ist die man sich denken kann, nicht der nerdiger Rollplaygeek oder eine Soldat oder so und doch lernt sie in laufe der Geschichte ihre Frau zu stehen und ihren Weg zu gehen.

The story is nice and the characters are all likeable, the world is interesting enough but the whole book feels like setup without payoff.
The entire story could have been condensed a lot.

There are also several minutes long narrations of stat blocks, so keep the skip ahead button handy

Much ado about nothing

Die Hauptperson fängt sehr schwach an. Meistens sind das dann diese typischen naiven, wenig inteligenten Charaktere, die ich nicht ausstehen kann. Allerdings auch wenn die Hauptperson naiv und schwach ist gefällt mir vor allem ihr Charakter. Sie macht was sie will und ist immer unglaublich motiviert. Sie hat zwar hohes Potenzial dank ihrer Fähigkeit nicht schwach zu bleiben, behält aber ihren schwachen Charakter leider bei. Story technisch geschieht nicht viel, es kam mir schon wie silence of life mit fantasy vor. Ich könnte die Handlung in wenigen Sätzen zusammenfassen, aber mir hat es gefallen und mich unterhalten. Das ist das einzige was zählt!
Wer nach Action, Strategie, Kämpfen, etc. sucht ist hier falsch.

Erfrischend

I bought the book because of it's high ratings but it turned out to be a real disappointment.

I was happy to read a book with a female MC but she turned out to be a self-centred Mary Sue with double standards. She rants about people beeing unfriendly and don't treating her like the center of their world (they just don't care about a random stranger). She demands respect while not giving it herself (e.g. Raphael) and her only value for beeing a girl are big boobs.
What also sets me of is her lack of empathy. yes she had a really hard time in her past life but now she's like a wrecking ball, not even trying to understand culture and humans around her.

The MC is still quite young which reflects in her behaviour and maybe some can label her behaviour with that but sadly I can't.

At least I can say that the audio actor does a really good job, but they can't cover the plot.

MC lacks in character

Ich habe nach einem LitRPG Buch mit einer weiblichen Heldin gesucht und fand dieses Buch. In vielen Rezensionen steht, dass das Träge erzählen das einzige Manko ist. Was aber leider kaum erwähnt wurde, ist dass der Hauptcharakter einfach nur schlecht geschrieben ist.
in Kombination mit der schleppenden Erzählung wirkt dann alles sehr unseriös und stümperhaft. Es entsteht keine Spannung, während dem Buch kommt bei mir kein einziges Mal der Gedanke/ das Gefühl auf, der Hauptcharakter könnte eine existierende Person sein, da die Gefühlswelt, die Gedanken und das Verhalten unrealistisch sind bzw nicht zusammenpassen.

I can’t recommend this. The idea is great - the voice actress is mediocre at her best.

The big problem - it turns into dating simulator 2.0. It feels like every second paragraph describes her breast, her storing smth there or how beautiful and „finally a women“ she feels as she start entering the D Cup. Immature, dehumanizing and patronizing.

Small breast are treated as jealous, poor thing and so forth. Holy hell avoid.

Big breasts rächte main theme

Ich hatte mich gefreut endlich eine weibliche Heldin in einem LitRPG Hörbuch "zu treffen" und war gespannt, wie sie mit einer solchen Gaming Fantasy Welt interagiert. Dann war auch noch das Mitgefühl mit der tragischen Schicksal der Heldin, die eine neue Chance bekommt. Leider ging das ganze Projekt innerhalb von Minuten total den Bach runter. Die Heldin lernt alles sofort und ist innerhalb von Tagen eine Göttin in Menschengestalt in ihrer neuen Umgebung. Alle Personen vom Wirt bis zur Königsfamilie liegen ihr überwältigt von ihrer Macht und überragenden Persönlichkeit zu Füßen. Dabei verhält sie sich teilweise wie ein pubertierendes dreizehnjähriges Mädchen und dann auf einmal manipulativ und strategisch planend wie ein erfahrener General. In dieser Story passt wenig zusammen und es vergällt mir total den Hörspaß.
