Die Hauptperson fängt sehr schwach an. Meistens sind das dann diese typischen naiven, wenig inteligenten Charaktere, die ich nicht ausstehen kann. Allerdings auch wenn die Hauptperson naiv und schwach ist gefällt mir vor allem ihr Charakter. Sie macht was sie will und ist immer unglaublich motiviert. Sie hat zwar hohes Potenzial dank ihrer Fähigkeit nicht schwach zu bleiben, behält aber ihren schwachen Charakter leider bei. Story technisch geschieht nicht viel, es kam mir schon wie silence of life mit fantasy vor. Ich könnte die Handlung in wenigen Sätzen zusammenfassen, aber mir hat es gefallen und mich unterhalten. Das ist das einzige was zählt!
Wer nach Action, Strategie, Kämpfen, etc. sucht ist hier falsch.

Erfrischend

Ich liebe den Main Char der Geschichte vor allem da sie eine der schwächsten Menschen ist die man sich denken kann, nicht der nerdiger Rollplaygeek oder eine Soldat oder so und doch lernt sie in laufe der Geschichte ihre Frau zu stehen und ihren Weg zu gehen.

A human in a new World Szenario

After not having much luck recently with lit-rpg stories (had to give some back because I couldn't stand them), I binge-listened through that book in two days.

Being a guy it wasn't too easy to really sink into a story told by a female protagonist. But after a while I got used to it. She does not act dreamy about the hot guys (like the protagonist in 'Three Mages and a Margarita' which I gave back).

It is the first book of the series and it doesn't happen that much plot-wise. But I think the author does build-up for a bigger plot and I really enjoy a plot where the protagonist does not find herself in a seemingly hopeless situation every third page just to hold the reader on edge.

The protagonist seems overpowered. Don't get me wrong though, I really like her ability, I guess that's what really had gotten me hooked.
I think the author does a good job of not throwing that fact into the readers face nor lets her protagonist realize the full potential of such an ability.

To sum it up: if you like lit-rpg, you should give this one a try. I've just started the second one and soon the long wait for the third audiobook will begin...

The story is nice and the characters are all likeable, the world is interesting enough but the whole book feels like setup without payoff.
The entire story could have been condensed a lot.

There are also several minutes long narrations of stat blocks, so keep the skip ahead button handy

Much ado about nothing

I bought the book because of it's high ratings but it turned out to be a real disappointment.

I was happy to read a book with a female MC but she turned out to be a self-centred Mary Sue with double standards. She rants about people beeing unfriendly and don't treating her like the center of their world (they just don't care about a random stranger). She demands respect while not giving it herself (e.g. Raphael) and her only value for beeing a girl are big boobs.
What also sets me of is her lack of empathy. yes she had a really hard time in her past life but now she's like a wrecking ball, not even trying to understand culture and humans around her.

The MC is still quite young which reflects in her behaviour and maybe some can label her behaviour with that but sadly I can't.

At least I can say that the audio actor does a really good job, but they can't cover the plot.
