If you‘re a fan of BBC‘s Sherlock and want to get into the Sherlock Holmes books this audiobook is a great starting point! It contains the first, second and third novels (A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of Four and The Hound of the Baskervilles) and an almost perfect mixture of short stories from the varies Sherlock Holmes books. Most of the stories included were of course a more or less direct inspiration for the series and it‘s incredibly interesting to see just how much actually comes directly from the original stories and how much was changed.
A small complaint/warning: Mark Gatiss‘ commentary sometimes contains a few spoilers that potentially ruin your experience if you‘re reading the stories for the first time.
