Absolutely fantastic!
The original Sherlock Holmes storoby a superb narrator. Not updated to modern times but distinctly Victorian just as Holmes ought to be.
The forewords for each novel and collection are well written and narrated as well.
It was an absolute delight to listen.

A singular pleasure for Sherlock Holmes devotees
Masterfully read by Stephen Fry and utterly enjoyable. The biographical and historical accounts interspersed between the stories here and there beautiful rounded out this listening experience.

Absolutely worth listening
At first I considered the collection too long an audio book, but I gave it a try. Eventually I could not stop listening. Elementary amazing, and the performance of Stephen Fry makes it even better.

These awesome stories, read (and explained) by the rightfully famed Stephen Fry, offer about 100 hours of pleasure. Thank you, Mr. Fry.

Etwas vom Besten was es an Hörbüchern gibt!
Einfach toll, wer Sherlock Holmes mag, der wird dies Hörbuch Lieben. Stephen Fry macht einen klasse Job und seine Kommentare dazu sind ebenso fantastisch.

Stephen Fry ... besser geht’s nicht
Endlose Stunden SH vorgelesen von dem fantastischen Stephen Fry ist einfach nur vm feinsten. Ich habe jede Geschichte und jede minute genossen. Der mann ist ein genie was tonlage, stimmen und dialekte angeht. Superb. Wer des englischen mächtig ist, für den ist das zuhören ein reines Vergnügen. Indeed my dear friend 😉

Brilliant narrator!
Stephen Fry reads Conan Doyle’s Homes stories worthy of their high reputation! I can recommend listening to it!
I especially liked his personal comments in between some of the stories that provide the listener with some useful and amusing insights to the backgrounds of Conan Doyle’s books.
