Best friends Blair and Maven just want a carefree weekend in New Orleans—three days of beignets, tarot readings, and bad decisions. But when they find a spirit board in the dusty attic of their Airbnb, they accidentally summon a hungry demon named Sasha. Just one thing: Sasha doesn't feed on the regular stuff...she feeds on misery.
Sasha offers them a deal: three sacrifices in three days, leaving them with two choices—comply or die. As the body count and the tension rises, Blair and Maven's sanity and friendship starts to crack under the weight of the request. Each woman must decide how far she's willing to go to survive and what parts of herself she's willing to lose.

From the very beginning, I was hooked. What starts as a girls’ trip quickly turns into something I absolutely did not expect, and every time I thought I knew where the story was going, it happily threw another curveball my way.
As someone who loves all things supernatural, I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the characters’ decisions. The whole time I kept thinking, “Sam and Dean would be rolling their eyes so hard right now.” Rule number one: don’t mess with Ouija boards. Stupid humans. 😂
I also have to say… Sasha is a ridiculously good demon name.
One thing I loved throughout the audiobook was Ardie’s performance. She clearly had so much fun voicing the demon, and you could actually hear that playful excitement in her voice. It gave me goosebumps more than once. Villains are always fun, but she absolutely brought this one to life.
And somehow this book just kept getting bigger.
At one point I was thinking, “Okay, we’re dealing with a demon.”
The next moment I was wondering why we were suddenly meeting Russians.
Then… vampires?!
I genuinely had to pause and ask myself what had just happened.
But somehow it all worked.
What I expected to be a paranormal girls’ trip turned into something much deeper. Beneath all the supernatural chaos, creepy moments, humor, and surprisingly spicy romance is a story about confronting the lies you’ve been telling yourself for years and finally accepting who you really are and what you truly want.
That emotional journey caught me completely off guard.
It almost felt like the characters were going through their Saturn return, with life refusing to let them hide behind old versions of themselves any longer. Every challenge pushed them a little closer to becoming the people they were meant to be.
I loved that.
It also gave me Jennifer’s Body vibes, but with more humor, more friendship, and a lot more supernatural chaos.
Oh, and thank you for casually including a recipe in the middle of all the demon hunting. Unexpected bonus. 10/10.
By the end, I found myself wanting to plan a girls’ trip with these characters.
Just…
Maybe without the Ouija board this time. 🖤
