If you have listened to the previous series (The beginner‘s guide to Necromancy), it is great. Without that it might be a little bit confusing at times. I had and I liked it

Great sequel

The story was quiet good the reader very good. However there were too many mentions of her past that did not make any sense, so much so I thought I had bought book two. It didn't enthral me enough to buy the second.
