Okay, so I'm in trouble. Big trouble. I'm broke. Worse, my boyfriend of five years just dumped me.

As I settle into my new life, I decide to accept my aunts' proposal and join the family business - the business of protecting our town and killing anything that would want to harm it. But I've been away from the paranormal world for quite some time, and my magical abilities are a little bit rusty. Heck, they're practically invisible.

Things soon spiral down the crapper when people in our community start dropping like flies. And when demons start showing up in Hollow Cove, it's up to me to take care of them. Permanently.

This is going to be awesome. I just know it.

I wasn't sure about the single one star rating here but the book is really awesome! If I could change one thing it's the voice acting for one of the male characters, Marcus, because I find it to be too "forced deep" - but it's pure taste ;) I enjoyed nonetheless :D

Tolle Geschichte, hat mich ein bisschen an Hex Files und Tess an Ivy erinnert.
Die Synchronsprecherin macht wirklich einen tollen Job, was das Hörbuch auch für nicht so fitte Englischsprecher leicht verständlich macht.

Get your heart ready, because there are a bunch of unintentional jumpscares! 5-6 times there are problems with the audio file - it
sounds like a cut off scream (yay! the sound engineer must have felt like trolling that day) and it always happens at slightly thrilling scenes... No I'm not imagining it and my phone also isn't possessed. Every other audiobook is fine after all...
