Eins der besten Bücher, die ich seit langem angehört habe. Sehr fesselnd und spannend. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich habe sowohl den ersten Teil als auch diesen verschlungen und schaue gleich nach weiteren Hörbüchern mit diesem Sprecher. Schade das Teil drei erst Februar rauskommen soll als Audio Version. Dann lese ich wohl die nächsten Tage erstmal Teil drei und freue mich dann auf Februar um Teil drei Zu hören.

perfectly paced

Es ist bestimmt schon 15 Jahre her, seit ich sie ein tolle Geschichte genießen durfte.
Endlich ein Fantasy Story die man auch wirklich so nennen kann.
Was sehr erfrischend war, ist dass der Autor nicht ewig auf die nächste Wendung hinzuarbeitet, sondern zügig kurzen Prozess macht und die Geschichte wunderbar dahinfließen lässt.
Hoffe auf einen baldigen nächsten Teil.

Where in the last book the protagonist does terrifying things out of self-defence and in sheer naivety, he has grown quite powerful by now. His mastery and stubborn, reckless self-conviction lead him from one massacre to the next. He has become cold and calculated which makes it hard to sympathise with his increasingly risky and morally debatable actions.
Are his choices justified in this bleak world of the sorcerers?

So much emotional drama, wasn't sure if I was able to handle it but was royally rewarded with this story.

I did not like the first book, but this one positively surprised. Hopefully the next one is just as good or better.

I was just listening to the first three books and is such a pleasure to listen to them. Reynolds does an amazing job getting us into the world of Manning, who did a great job presenting the mediaval like world. The way magic is used, humour presented and one being allowed to follow Wills life is great.
The only downpoint sometimes coming up is the ease Will manages skills and being superior after a couple of moments/years practicing - although Manning tries to explain the reason beyond it. On the other hand I enjoy watching a hero to raise!

This story draws you in without letting go - you won't stand a chance. This story has it all, and is laced with numerous plot twists. I was immersed and really felt for the characters. Outstanding narrator. 10/10 HIGHLY recommended. Michael Manning and T. G. Reynolds be blessed.

Sowohl die Charaktere als auch die Story und der Humor sind der Wahnsinn! :) Bin innerhalb von einer Woche beim 4. Band gelandet und immer noch absolut überzeugt! Die Geschichte hat die perfekte Balance aus Infos für die Stimmigkeit und Zeitsprüngen, damit es nicht langweilig wird. Es ist nicht zu soft und trotzdem gefühlvoll, so dass man eine tiefe Verbindung zum Hauptprotagonisten aufbaut. Ich bin begeistert und kann es nur allen weiterempfehlen. Es wird zudem stetig besser also freut euch ;)
